SEPTEMBER, 20O9: HAAS, a 10 year old GWP who will be neutered prior to adoption, is seeking a bit of comfort and companionship.
OCTOBER, 20O9: AGATHA, a 1 1/2 year old spayed female, a great family dog, is looking for an enthusiastic family home.
OCTOBER, 20O9: SLICK, a 5 year old altered male with hunting experience, a very nice dog, seeks a new home due to his owner's illnesss.

Our Rescue dogs have had a second chance at a "forever" home, thanks to the wonderful families who have taken the time and the opportunity to adopt them! In turn, the families receive boundless appreciation from the adoptees! What a great combination!

Bill and Hilary, two three-month-old littermates were seeking new homes and were fortunate enough to be able to stay together in their wonderful new home in Southern California. Their new family wanted them to be able to stay together, so adopted both. What a great Thanksgiving! Bill and Hilary's listing was posted in November.
BROWNIE, an adorable one-year old female, a courtesy listing on the Northern California Weimaraner Rescue site, was placed in a home by a long-time Weimaraner breeder. Brownie's listing appeared in September.
CHELSEA, a three year old female listed in September, has found a home with other dogs who hunt and their avid hunter-owner! Although in need of socializing, she is not gun-shy, and seemed genuinely delighted to meet her new family.
IVAN, a wonderful adult, was seeking rehoming with a loving family and his dream came true. Ivan's listing was up from the last of August through 9/11/08.
ZEKE, a charming youngster, who sought a great home in which to grow found it with a Walnut Creek couple. They had grown up with GWP's, and were missing their last Wirehair when they discovered Zeke! Zeke's listing appeared on this site in August and September.
HAPPI was adopted after attending the Marin Animal Fair. While there, he met a family with two school-aged children and an elderly dog. The family adopted Happi, and are delighted with their loving new friend. Happi's listing appeared in July, August, and early September.
GABBY, whose listing appeared in March and April, has found a home with a family in Nevada. Her new home includes the company of a 12 year old GSP.
PAISLEY, whose listing appeared in February, was adopted and now lives in Arizona!
2009- ADOPTED!
MARCH, 2009: LIBERTY, a six year old female posted from Dec., 2008--Mar., 2009 as a Courtesy Listing for the S CA Rancho Coastal Humane Society has been adopted! Perseverance succeeds!
APRIL, 2009: HANK and ALICE, both posted in March, each have been adopted. Hank found his hunting home, and Alice is with a family and another canine for companionship!
MAY, 2009: KING, an affable young male, found a home in San Francisco willing to share good times with him!
MAY, 2009: SHELBY, a 2 year old spayed female, found an active, made-to-order home. She went back to her run, packed up her blanket, and cheerfully greeted her future! Shelby's listing appeared in May.
MAY, 2009: RIO, a 1 1/2 year old nice male found running loose in the Concord area, met his future owner at the GWP of S CA Specialty! They're bonding nicely!
JUNE, 2009: BRISTLES, who had quite a tale to tell, has been adopted by a couple in Idaho! We've been promised a write-up and photos of his journey to his new home. What a wonderful chance at a new and loving life for him!
JULY, 2009: LAW, approximately 2 years old, a 'perfectly reasonable dog who lived with children of all ages,' found his new home!
JULY, 2009: WIGGLES, a 4 1/2 year old male, happy, good with people and other dogs, found an attentive family in Idaho with which he could share his delight. He will share the household with other dogs, too!
JULY, 2009: DEXTER, a 1 1/2 year old handsome male, who loved people and was 'an absolutely wonderful dog,' failed to respond to medication, and, sadly, had to be euthanized. He must be joining the crowd for happier times across the Rainbow Bridge.
AUGUST, 20O9: LUCY, a healthy, happy spayed 9 year old GWP has been adopted by a family specifically looking for an older GWP!
OCTOBER, 20O9: MONTY, a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, has found a great new home!
